Wild West Photos photographer Noah Couser has added a new batch of images from his recent adventures in southwestern Utah. The trip included visits to both Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, and the photos included some wonderful shots of hikers exploring the famous slot canyons of this area. Noah also has a very established collection of outdoor and adventure images from Glacier National Park and there were some spectacular panoramas in this mix as well. New Artists Added 9.09

Two new artists have been added to the website this month—Kenneth Setzer and Radd Icenoggle. Both artists have provided a variety of images from Montana and as far north as Glacier National Park and Alaska. Radd has a wonderful collection of birding and landscape imagery from around this region as well as Glacier National Park, while Kenneth has started his collection with a handful of images from Alaska and the west. 2009 Outside Bozeman Contest Winners

The final results from the 2nd annual Outside Bozeman photo contest are official. Congratulations to all of the professional and amateur photographers who made this event another great success. There were over 2,000 entries and 34 winners in the categories of landscape/ nature, action, lifestyle, and wildlife. Wild West Photos will be giving away another $500 dollars to one lucky winner during the award ceremony in August. Stay tuned for details regarding the dates and times. New Photographer Added

This past week we’ve added new photos from our latest photographer Marsh Faber. Marsh has been an avid fly fisher for over 40 years, and combines his love of the sport with his inherited love for photography. His family started their first photo studio in 1877, and that makes Marsh a 4th generation photographer. His mother was a reporter and photographer; Dad turned pro at the age of 12. Marsh has one weapon they didn’t—digital photography.  He takes full advantage by practicing art on both ends of the lens, and is not shy about treating images in an unorthodox manner.  He freely admits his ideas may be the result of too many days in the sun. So if you’re looking for something a little different, check out his collection of digital photography. From fly fishing to nature, Marsh brings a fresh look and feel to outdoor photography.

More images posted by John Reddy from his recent trip to Death Valley National Park in California. John has photographed landscapes in Montana and elsewhere since 1974. He earned a B.S. in photography from Montana State University’s Film & TV Department and subsequently lectured there for two years. His work has been extensively published in Montana & around the country, and his pictures appear regularly in Montana Magazine. He has also been piblished in Popular Photography, American Heritage, Sunset, Montana Living, Men’s Journal, National Geographic Books, Outside, American Photo and the Smithsonian Guide to Historic America. New Photographer Added

We’ve just added a new photographer this week who has provided us with a wonderful series of images from the Little Missouri Badlands of western North Dakota. Gerald’s works includes; landscapes, wildflowers and wildlife from this beautiful and seldom visited region of the U.S. This area is also part of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Featured artist Diana Proemm was recently showcased in the Outdoor section of the Billings Gazette. Diana has been a contributing photographer with Wild West for more than a year, and has provided us with over 400 stock images from around the world. Her photography covers a broad range of subject matter including; Alaska, wildlife, South America, travel, sea kayaking, recreation, fly fishing and more.

2009 Outside Bozeman Photo Contest

PHOTO CONTEST – 2009
Join us as we help Outside Bozeman Magazine celebrate its 2nd annual photo contest. The event is open to both professional and amateur photographers, and Wild West Photos will be giving away a cash prize of $500 to one winner. The deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2009. Photos should represent southwest Montana, and submissions can include work from Yellowstone National Park.
